Owner, Engineer, Composer, Producer

Wayne has  been involved in the music industry since the 60's ,  playing in live band's from 1974 onwards as the keyboardist.  From being a side drummer in a Scottish Pipe Band, to studying piano, to using the Hammond organ and various analogue Synthesizers, he has honed his musical experience enabling an understanding of music, its dynamics and emotional uses. 

 

During the 80's he had the experience of working as the recording engineer in Don Clarkes  C & G studio's on analogue Trident and Cadac mixing desks along with Studer 16  track tape machines. 

Being a founder member of adult contemporary studio band Adult Art in the 90's along with Don Clarke saw the release of 4 albums, 3 of which (Acoustic Flush, Pickering Street and Small Mercies) being nominated for a South African Music Award (SAMA). 

During 2010  Monkeyshine Studio was completed, built from the ground up as a private DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Composing and Production studio.  Being built at his home, the room was specially designed right from the ground up, the soundproofing, acoustics, layout, room design, as well as the building implementation to ensure quality and peace of mind.
 

​Since then he has spent his time composing, producing, mixing and mastering all on the state of the art DAW system based on Steinberg's Cubase digital workstation software.

One of his musical highlights  in 1992, was spending 3 weeks in New York's                                                                 at having the 1st album Acoustic Flush produced by an international top producer Fernando Kral and working with some top NY session musicians.
